Applications for the foodstuff industry

As in the pharmaceuticals industry, many fatty chemical products and metal soaps are also used in the food industry, with the fulfilment of the respective food law regulations playing an important role, in addition to the purity and quality of these products.

Our HERWEMAG and HERWE FOOD products, recommended for use in the food industry, are in adherence to the respectively applicable laws, directives, regulations (including all limits on maximum levels of harmful substances) and recommendations of German and – where applicable – EC food law. Packaging and transport vessels also meet the stipulations of food law.

Our products are used in, among other things, pastries, confectionery, spices and various fats, as separating agents and lubricants, anti-caking additives, emulsifiers, and fatty chemical base components. The Herwemag and Herwefood products are manufactured on a purely vegetable basis, with the products mostly being based on palm seed oil (upon enquiry, also MB = Mass Balance certified), but sunflower and rapeseed-oil-based variants are sometimes also available.
